As a parent, volunteer and professional Cindy understands the often misunderstood world of the autism family. Among her volunteer experiences, she has been a Global Advisor for Billion Strong, a subject matter expert for the Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center for Quality Management, a member of the Illinois State Rehabilitation Council, a member of the National Disability Institute's Financial Wellness Committee, a graduate o f the Illinois Partners in Policymaking Program, a founding member of the Chicago Rowing Foundation's adaptive rowing program (Pauly's Pals), and she worked in the financial industry for years before becoming a full-time parent. Her company, TeachAbility, provided work experiences for students with disabilities in places like the MassMutual, Chicago Dogs Independent Baseball Team, a Federal Legislator, and Ravinia, the oldest music festival in North America. She has a Social Impact Strategy credential from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in Finance from DePaul University and a BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan. She lives in Park Ridge, IL with her husband of 27 years, near their two grown sons.
